For which subject? Reading and access to books
Summary of resource: Libby is an online source of e-books and audiobooks with a wide variety which can often be accessed for free through your local library- worth checking out.
Pros and uses:
- Easy to access through many local libraries globally, particularly in Australia
- Has e-books, audiobooks, magazines and newspapers in English and other languages such as Chinese, Japanese, French and Spanish.
- Reasonable search filters
- From what I’ve seen you can borrow 10-15 books at a time
- You can add multiple library cards if you’re a member of more than one library to be able to borrow more books at once.
Cons/ issues to take into consideration:
- Sometimes it doesn’t have what I’m looking for, particularly books that are recently out or not in the mainstream.
